On Monday we arrived at the hospital at 6:30 a.m., which means we were up by 5:30 a.m! It was Karis' big surgery day and she had no idea what was soon going to happen to her! Karis was born tongue tied and the doctor recommended us going ahead and taking care of it earlier then later.
Here she is in her own waiting room, still in pjs and happy!!! Oh, and Papa, we had to bring her baby with us!!
Corey distracted her with showing her how to make the bed go up and down!!!And here she is after the surgery. We don't have any pictures of her in her gown (as it was an adult size gown, they said they didn't have anything small enough for her...... going back to the day she was born at this same hospital, they brought her back to us after getting washed up and informed us that she was too big and they didn't have any clothes big enough for her... ha ha)
The surgery went well...no complications....took her a little while to wake up completely from the anesthesia but once she did we got some smiles!!
She did not want these things on her!!!
She woke up talking and wanted to talk all about this thing on her foot (she did eventually rip it off after she got hooked up to her IVdrip)!
Off and on she would get sleepy and had a great sleeping partner!
Our friends made this sign for Karis for when she came home from the hospital!
Thank you for praying for Karis! Our God is good and we believe He was with Karis through this procedure!

Don't know if my first comment went through so I'm trying again. Glad everything went well. She is so adorable! I thought the part about the gown at birth and now was so funny. Go figure. -Ruth Anne
So glad she did well. Many prayers were lifted for her from around the world.
